Science in Action!

Last week, our ACA 1st graders attended the Arizona Science Center for their first field trip of the year! We had a number of parents and staff in attendance to ensure all students had a fun and safe time at the Science Center. Students were able to play with all of the hands on exhibits, see in person science experiement demonstrations and learn about construction, electricity, the systems of the body and so much more. Order Your ACA Sweater Online Today!

Attention ACA Parents, Don't be left behind once the cooler weather comes! We no longer keep inventory of ACA sweatshirts in our office and everything must be ordered online at our store. Click HERE to place your order today! It takes about 2 weeks for online orders to come in, so be sure to order yours today! As always, keep in mind the uniform rules with sweaters and outerwear: K-8 Outerwear: -School color jackets will be allowed inside school buildings. Outerwear in non-school colors or with prints are limited to outside only. -Only pullover sweatshirts with the ACA logo are allowed. Shirts worn under sweatshirts must be school colors.

ACA Sweeps El Mirage Art Contest!

This past weekend a number of our ACA students entered into the El Mirage Fiesta de la Gente Art Contest. The directions were to create a painting celebrating the history and culture of El Mirage. It was open to both youth and adults. ACA had winners in EVERY category even our very own Mr. Moreno (Art Teacher) received awards! K-6 category 1st place Amanda Duran (4th grade) 2nd place Elijah Dobbs (3rd grade) and E'yan Minor (1st grade) 3rd place Ryan Minor (6th grade) 7-8 category 2nd place Julia Esquer (7th grade) 3rd place Jasmine Chan (7th grade) Adult category Mr. David Moreno! Winners were announced the evening of the Fiesta de la Gente on Friday September 28th. Congrats Bulldogs!!

ACA Choir Sings at the DBacks Game!

On Friday September 21, 92 sixth through eighth graders were selected to sing the National Anthem at the Diamondbacks Game at Chase Field. For many of our students, it was the first Major League Baseball game they had ever attended. The event was also a fundraiser for our music program; we sold 315 tickets and raised $1,200! Go Bulldogs! Fine Arts is one of the elements of our Integrated Academy of Studies for 6th-8th graders here at ACA. This award winning program gives our Middle School students a chance to explore their passions and gain real world experience at a very young age. To learn more, click HERE.
