Distance Learning for the Remainder of the School Year

ACA Parents, It was announced from Governor Ducey and Superintendent Hoffman this morning that Arizona schools campuses will not be reopening for the remainder of this 19/20 school year. This means ACA will be continuing with our current distance learning plan through the rest of our school year. Our grab and go food program will continue to be available throughout this campus closure. We echo the announcement as this was not the outcome we were all hoping for, however, ACA Administration and teachers have worked tirelessly the last few weeks to create a distance learning program that is fully sustainable through the end of the school year. School Materials Pick-Up And Distance Learning Plan

Parents, As you know, our distance learning will begin March 30th. In order to prepare, we do need all families to come and pick-up your child’s materials. Rest assured, we will practicing the highest level of precaution during this process. Here is how it will work: It will take place Thursday and Friday March 26th and 27th from 7:30am-3:30pm. You can come through at any point during those hours and those days. It will be done using “Drive-Thru” similar to how we run our dismissal drive-thru (See map below) You will pull into the lot and give your children’s name to the attendant When you get to the pick-up point, you will be asked to pop your trunk where someone will run the supplies out t

School Closure Through April 10th and Distance Learning Information

ACA Parents, Governor Ducey and Superintendent Kathy Hoffman have extended school closure through April 10th. ACA will continue to follow our plan for rolling out Distance Learning. We wanted to put out another reminder about what the next few weeks will look like. We will be sending even more detailed class information coming soon. Grab and Go Food Program Begins March 24th

ACA Families, We wanted to provide an update regarding some services during our school closures. While Arizona has called for school closure through March 27th, ACA is STAYING with April 3rd, however this does not mean to "close" in all areas. We will provide more details on this in the coming days as we are actively working to create online learning opportunities for our students. ACA continues to have no confirmed cases and we are monitoring on a daily basis and in direct contact with health service departments. ACA School Closure Notification

Dear ACA Families, In the best interest of the general community and after careful consideration of the health and safety of our students families and staff the ACA Governing Board voted to extend Spring Break through March 27th and offer only remote learning through April 3rd. To be clear, all students will remain off campus through April 3rd. Please remember, at this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 affecting our school. Emergency Board Meeting To Discuss School Closure

Staff and Parents: ACA is holding an emergency board meeting on Sunday, March 15th at 2:00 p.m. to discuss closing ACA with the options of providing on-line and remote learning until April 3rd. ACA still has no confirmed cases of COVID-19 however, we are wanting to ensure and support the safety and health of all students, staff and local community members. Please know, ACA will be providing alternative options for on-line learning and additional extended learning opportunities if there is to be a closure. Read Across America Recap!

Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2 come read Dr. Seuss Books to Kinders! Councilman Ken Remley comes and reads a fun book to Kinder! Friends of the Surprise Libraries donate a class set of books to Mrs. Dobb's 3rd grade class for being one of the winners of the City of Surprise Literacy Challenge. Author David Rottenberg and Marilyn's Dance Academy performed a read aloud to 2nd and 3rd graders. Kinders have their annual Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast! Spirit Week is all week and students celebrate with dress up days like Twin Day! Students dress up like their dream jobs!

McTeacher's Night WINNERS!

As always, our amazing ACA families and community showed up BIG! We are so excited to say that out of 12 schools that hosted McTeachers night our school won for the largest turnout and most money raised! In 2 hours, the McDonald's made almost $3000 dollars in sales! ACA won a portion of those proceeds as well as the grand prize for the most money raised and was awarded a check of a little over $1,000! Great job, ACA families! These funds go straight to paying for more playground equipment for our amazing students. We're so proud to be a part of the ACA Bulldog community!

This individual is a member of the ASU community and risk to all Maricopa County residents, including the ASU community, is believed to be low at this time.
