Integrated Academy of Studies Students Participate in Mock Election

November 5th and 6th our ACA Integrated Academy of Studies students in grades 6th-8th will be participating in an online Mock Election. They will get their own voter id #, login to Kids Voting USA and cast their votes for AZ Governor, AZ Secretary of State, US Senate, US Congress and many more races.

Students have been studying the candidates and their issues and values over the past few weeks to make a better informed decision on their actual vote.

The time has come to make a decision and make history and our students came into school ready to cast their vote for the candidate they felt best represented their own issues and values.

After they voted, just like any typical United States voter, it culminated with them receiving the highly coveted "I Voted" sticker to wear loud and proud to show they participated in their civic duty and responsibility.

On November 6th, a delegation of our 6th-8th graders along with Mrs. Salazar, one of our MS civics teachers will head down to the Arizona Capitol to watch the results come in on the floor of the Arizona House of Representatives! How exciting!

Our students are not only watching history unfold but they are getting to play a part in the action! ACA prides itself on being a renowned civic engagement school and this mock election is a perfect example of this in action.
