ACA is a Highly Performing School!

December 4, 2017

Note: Open Enrollment for the upcoming school year has begun, be sure to apply now to save your child's spot before we fill up! (this does not apply to current ACA students)

The results are in and ACA students are shining! Did you know that Arizona Charter Academy ranked in the TOP 22% of ALL Arizona public schools on the AZMerit state test?!

ACA is now the highest performing school serving El Mirage and the Original Town Site of Surprise! See the below graph:

ACA teachers and students spend the entire year with academic rigor and excellence at the forefront of every day. "Over the course of the past two years, ACA has grown in both percent passing and student growth." (Heather Henderson, Lead Academic Administrator) We are proud to say that individual grade levels beat the state average in all but 2 areas last year!

Here are just a few highlights of our students performance we are proud of:

-ACA beat the state average in high growth school wide!

-All science test results for all tested grade levels beat the statewide average.

-In 8th grade, over 40% of the students "exceeded" on the exam.

Overall, we scored an 84% which was just 2 points away from an A! We have a number of plans already in place to get us past those 2 points for this year:

-Integrated Academy of Studies officially launched for grades 6-8

-Fine arts for both elementary and middle school continue to expand

-Students and staff are using a "growth mindset" to develop grit, persistence and tenacity

-We have significantly increased and refined the professional development we have for our teachers.

-Clubs, activities and events for after school programs is expanding.

Overall, it's a great time to be a Bulldog! We are so proud of our staff, parents and students for redefining possible everyday!

Take a look at our percent passing compared to other schools in the area:
