--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Parents and Guardians:

As the 2020 year progresses we want to keep you informed of upcoming happenings and changes. ACA is always seeking ways to enhance our school and continue to strive for excellence.

Construction is moving along and although we have had a few minor setbacks along the way we are on target to move in this summer! At this time the input has been to place our 3rd and 4th grades in the new building.

Overall Classroom Locations (a few exceptions)

  • Kindergarten, First and Second Grade remain in their same location.

  • Third and Fourth will be in the new building.

  • Fifth and Sixth grade in the current 3rd/4th/5th grade building (5th and 6th will have a few electives and classes in the middle school building)

  • Seventh and Eighth grade in the middle school building

In order to provide consistent, high-quality customer service to all stakeholders, ACA has decided to combine our front offices into one office moving forward. This will take place during the 4th quarter of this school year.

After spring break, ACA’s front office for ALL GRADES (K-8) will be located in the 16025 N. Dysart building which is the 2 story glass front building (currently middle school building).

  • One central location for parents and families

  • Increased safety with 1 point of entry

  • Increased ability to handle high volume of phone calls

  • Increased parking for parents and visitors located directly in front of the office

Included on the back of this letter are Frequently Asked Questions to assist with the transition. Please email with any other questions or clarification.

Sincerely,

Frequently Asked Questions for Consolidating the Front Offices

Why are you moving to one front office? In order to provide consistent, high-quality customer service to all stakeholders, ACA has decided to consolidate our front offices into one during the 4th quarter of this school year.  After spring break, ACA’s front office for K-8 grade will be located in 16025 N. Dysart Building which is the 2 story glass front building (current middle school building).

How will this provide better service to all stakeholders? We have heard concern about the front offices having difficulty answering the volume of phone calls from both internal staff calling and outside phone calls from parents. By moving to one front office there will be more support provided and ability to answer phones while still meeting all of the other needs and responsibilities of the front office.

How will visitor parking work? We are excited to off the entire front parking lot located in the front office (middle school building) for parents, community members and visitors.

Who will enforce visitor and staff parking? For the first week we will have staff located outside in the parking lots to help facilitate questions and guide all stakeholders to the correct parking.

Where will the student office be for medical needs? The student office will remain the same, no changes.

Signage: The front offices will have the signage changed by Spring Break on the doors, etc,. In addition in the K-2 and 3-5 building we will place the rolling white boards in strategic places in the hallways with reminders of the new front office location to help both students and staff. The rolling boards will be for the first 2 weeks.

How will K-5 students know where the front office is? Teachers will schedule a time to take a “tour” with their class to the middle school office the week of March 16th.

What about students in grades K-5 who are leaving early or arrive late? For the first week to two weeks we will have as much as possible staff available to show students how to get from the front office to their classroom. After two weeks we will evaluate the need for students in Kindergarten and first grade in addition to students with special needs.

Will I still be able to walk my child into the door where the old elementary front office was located? You are welcome to park and walk your child to the elementary back gate or to our new front office. The old elementary office door will no longer be accessible.

Why are we making this change during the 4th quarter and not the beginning of the next school year? Based on surveys and feedback and observations we wanted to start our improvements sooner rather than later.

What number do I call to talk to someone in the front office? Continue to call the same number 623-974-4959
