Our Capitol Scholars were recognized on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Surprise City Council meeting by Mayor Sharon Wolcott, who recognized the collaboration between Arizona Charter Academy and Imagine Prep at Surprise.

The mayor also spoke on her experience when she was a guest at a Capitol Scholars meeting and what the program means to her. Councilman John Williams, also in attendance complimented the students hard work in learning the legislative process and writing their own bills.

The students were honored at a reception at City Hall on Friday September 5, 2014 and will conclude their program on September 26th by spending the day at the State capitol to present their bills to lobbyist, leaders in the community, and government representatives.
