ACA Students Sweep the WHAM Art Recycle Festival!

This past weekend a group of ACA students along with Mrs. Laida Alvarez and Mrs. Karen Holdaway participated in the WHAM Art Recycle Festival with the pieces they have been working on for weeks! Students used items that were seemingly "junk" and turned them into new works of art! They even entered into the competition at the festival. ACA students took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the festival this year! It was a sweeping win for ACA! The theme of the fesitval this year was "Where Creativity Goes Green" in connection with Earth Day. BIG congrats to all of the ACA students that participated! And thank you to Mrs. Alvarez and Mrs. Holdaway!

ACA Recognizes Volunteers and Community Partners

Every year in the spring, ACA hosts it's Community and Volunteer Appreciation event. This year's event packed out our gym full of ACA staff, parents, volunteers, community organizations, elected officials and business partners. We work hard to nurture those relationships through joint endeavors throughout the year. We all get together to enjoy lunch and to recognize a few of our outstanding partners. The theme of this years lunch was "Impact". Impact means to have a strong effect on someone or something. And that is exactly what our volunteers and community partners have on ACA.
